Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is regarded as one of the top tight ends in history, he is the NFL's all-time leader in reception yards and receiving yards from a tight end as well as ranked third in overall receptions
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been an integral part for FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour-long NFL pregame show preceding FOX NFL Sunday, which airs every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL after the year 2013 wasn't true. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth $14 million. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his professional career as the NFL leading receiver yards.
